We are looking for a Validator to join our growing IT Manager team at Letchworth Head Office

This role ensures that customer’s requirements are understood correctly so that an accurate quotation can be produced. The Validator will be responsible for scoping work on receipt of an order, and producing an accurate statement of works for the engineer to undertake the end user assignment.

The ideal candidates will have proven desktop and server experience, be customer focused, proactive and have attention to detail. HP product knowledge, MS Exchange knowledge, SBS experience and Symantec Backup Exec and End Point protection knowledge would be an advantage. 

Some of the duties and responsibilities involved are:

• Receiving quotation requests from the BT Local Business sales lead via a customer request form
• To validate all information required to complete quotation as on customer request documentation
• To produce resource estimates for quotes based on the customers requirements
• To assist members of the sales team in resolving customer requests pertinent to IT Manager solutions
• To speak with customers and with Account Managers to understand the requirements and ensure the correct solution is being proposed
• To train and develop your own knowledge of new and existing technologies
• To produce ISDs/Statements of work detailing work to be done on end user sites
• To maintain the TPS system for validated customer solutions
• Using third party assistance and guidance from vendors and/or distributors and manage their contribution to ensure we meet customer expectation
• To maintain knowledge and skills in all areas in order to stay current with supported and viable technologies. Also to be aware of pending technologies that may affect customer buying decisions.
